Privacy Policy

ABERCYNON RESEARCH LLC, operating as Kingcourses, is responsible for the personal information described here. It comes from the enrollment form and from any email you send us, and we use it to talk with you about a course and then to teach it. We never sell it, and this site sets no advertising or analytics cookies.

To have your details deleted, email [email protected]. We’ll erase them, apart from anything tax and business-record laws require us to keep.

What you give us. The enrollment form asks for your name, email address and phone number, and optionally your company, role and country. You can also tell us what you want from the course and how well you know its main tool. Anything you add by email or on the intro call joins the same record.

What the server logs. Like any web server, ours keeps standard access logs: IP address, time, the page requested and the browser’s user agent. We use them for security and to fix problems, and we keep them briefly.

What we don’t collect. No advertising cookies, third-party trackers, session replays or fingerprinting, and nothing sensitive such as health information. We never see your card number; payments go through a payment provider.

• To answer your request and arrange the intro call within one business day.
• To run the course you’ve paid for: session invitations, materials, recordings and your tutor’s written review.
• To send payment links and invoices, and to keep the financial records a US business has to keep.
• To answer your questions and, now and then, tell past students about a new class. A one-line reply stops those emails for good.

A handful of service providers help us run the school, and each gets only what it needs to do its job:

• a hosting provider, which runs this website;
• an email provider, which carries our messages to you;
• a video-call service, which runs live sessions and stores their recordings;
• a code-hosting service, where class repositories live;
• a payment provider, which handles payment links and invoices;
• our accountant, who sees the financial records their work needs.

We never sell, rent or trade personal information, or share it for anyone else’s advertising. If the law requires us to disclose it, we will, and we’ll tell you unless we’re legally barred from doing so.

• Requests that don’t lead to enrollment: up to twelve months, then deleted.
• Records of enrolled students: as long as you could reasonably need your course materials, and no longer than we can justify.
• Invoices and financial records: as long as federal and Iowa tax rules require, usually up to seven years.
• Server logs: a few weeks, on a rolling basis.

Wherever you live, you can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it or send you a copy. Email [email protected] and we’ll reply within thirty days. There’s no form to fill out and no charge for a reasonable request.

Depending on where you live, laws such as the Iowa Consumer Data Protection Act, other US state privacy laws, the UK GDPR or the EU GDPR may give you further rights, including the right to complain to a regulator. We will honor them, though we’d be grateful for the chance to put things right first.

Traffic to this site is encrypted in transit. Only the people who need enrollment records to run a course can open them, and every service account we use is protected with multi-factor authentication. If a breach ever affects your information, we’ll tell you what happened, what we know and what we’re doing about it, as the law requires.

Our courses are for adults, and we don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you think a child has sent us their details, email us and we’ll delete them.

ABERCYNON RESEARCH LLC is based in the United States, at 6701 Corporate Dr, Johnston, IA 50131, United States. Our providers mainly store information in the United States. If you write to us from elsewhere, your information is transferred to and kept in the United States, and where the law asks for a safeguard for that transfer, we use an appropriate one.

We don’t set advertising, analytics or tracking cookies. If a payment or video-call provider needs a strictly necessary cookie to work, that provider sets it when you use its service, not this site. We don’t use this site to build a profile of you.

When this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. If a change materially affects information we already hold about you, we’ll email you rather than expect you to come back and check.
